Opening Day was a Success

The only problem is that I did not get a chance to post my plays. I went to see the Nationals face off the Phillies in the first game of the season. Beautiful day, but my buddy and I missed Obama's first pitch as security to get into the stadium was tight and took awhile to actually get in. Here is my thoughts on yesterday's win.
-As much as I hated doing it, I took the Phillies -1.5 on the Runline. I thought that Roy Halladay was too much for the Nats to handle on the first start of the season, not to mention that the last spring training game of the season, the Nats had to face the Boston Red Sox and Tim Wakefield. How unfair is it that you go all spring preparing yourself against regular pitching, and right before the games really start to count, you have to face a 60mph knuckleball. Fair? I think not, but I did make money.
-With the rest of the 3 games it came down to who had the better pitcher. Seattle almost blew it for me in the late game, but Oakland brought in their closer (Andrew Bailey) in the 8th for a non-save situation. Huge mistake. He ended up costing them the game.
